Marti
Lee Kennedy is one of the pioneer practitioners in the
field of Chinese Medicine in the United States. She began
her studies of acupuncture and herbal medicine in 1970 and
graduated from the North American College of Acupuncture in
British Columbia in 1972. Her graduate studies include two
years in Asia, including clinical training at Osaka Medical
College in Japan. Her eclectic training was received
through study with the great masters of Chinese Medicine
throughout Southeast Asia, India and Sri Lanka. Dr.
Kennedy specializes in women's health care with a focus on
pregnancy issues and fertility challenges as well as general
family health care. She is here to assist you in your
healing process. The integration of the mind, body and
spirit connection is the most important part of her work.
While Marti treats both men and women, she has a particular
sensitivity towards women's health issues. Her specialty
in Obstetrics and Gynecology has led quite naturally to treating
babies and children. Because she is a specialist in the
field of fertility, pregnancy and post partum care, she has
helped hundreds of women who were unable to conceive become
pregnant and have healthy children. Acupuncture and
Chinese herbal treatments enhance fertility and prevent problems
that could otherwise arise during pregnancy. Regular
acupuncture visits throughout a woman's pregnancy can prevent
morning sickness, miscarriage, gestational diabetes,
hypertension, back pain, premature labor, breech presentation
and many other disharmonies.
