Dr. Kennedy is an acupuncturist whose speciality is in women’s health care with a focus on infertility and pregnancy challenges.  She also treats general health issues and can help you with all of your family’s healthcare needs.

Fertility: Dr. Kennedy has been assisting women in their path to pregnancy since 1975. She has successfully aided hundreds of families in attaining healthy pregnancies. Acupuncture and Chinese medicine can increase fertility by promoting blood flow to the uterus, increasing the body’s “chi”, and regulating menstrual cycles and ovulation.

Pregnancy: Dr. Kennedy offers treatments that are specific to the first, second and third trimester of your pregnancy. These treatments help relieve common symptoms and increase the likelihood of a safe, healthy birthing experience. There is a “happy baby” point used in each trimester to protect the unborn from any ancestral chi conditions.

Post-partum care: Women during the first six weeks after pregnancy can suffer from issues such as back pain, fatigue, lactation issues, and post-partum depression. Acupuncture treatments after pregnancy can help relieve these symptoms and help quicken the body’s recovery.

Pain Management: Back pain, joint pain, sprains and strains are just a few of the many types of pain that can be treated with acupuncture. Acupuncture is also used in the treatment of arthritis, fibromyalgia and migraine headaches.

Stress: Many people suffer from either acute or chronic stress. Symptoms of acute or chronic stress can include insomnia, palpitations, dry-mouth and nervousness, obsession, fatigue, poor appetite, stomach pain, weight gain and more. Traditional Chinese Medicine can help alleviate symptoms, repair imbalances and soothe the body and the mind.

Cancer Treatment Support: Acupuncture has become a valuable tool for relieving symptoms and side effects of many cancer treatments. Studies have shown a significant reduction in nausea and vomiting when patients receive acupuncture before chemotherapy. In many hospitals and clinics acupuncture is used routinely before, during and after chemotherapy. Acupuncture provides effective relief from pain and fatigue as well as enhancing your immune system.

Allergies: Acupuncture can relieve symptoms and also address the underlying condition causing the allergies, bringing the body back into balance improving overall health.

Skin Problems: Conditions such as shingles, hives, and eczema typically respond well to Traditional Chinese Medicine. Treatment is tailored to each person’s condition and may involve acupuncture and the use of medicinal herbs. Some conditions will clear rapidly, while others may take longer.
